Being happy. It sounds so simple. Yet, it seems that it’s always just out of reach for Shannon Ryan.
After serving overseas for six years as a female United States Marine, Ryan is finally getting out the military. But coming home to live with her biker brother and his motorcycle club is more difficult than she thought it would be. Much has changed in the years that she has been gone, including Ellis, her brother’s best friend and childhood crush.
Ellis ‘Dirty’ Crane is the second in command for Tormented Souls Motorcycle Club. The only thing he lives for is the club, that is until Ryan comes home, no longer the wild little girl that followed him around. The two things standing in his way of getting what he wants are Patrick, Ryan’s brother and leader of the club, and Jeremiah, Ryan’s boyfriend.

It’s Wild West Wednesday over on our Facebook page. Wednesday’s are a day for us to share sexy pictures of cowboys and country boys and I thought, why not compile a list of books that include some of our favorite types of book boyfriends? This is just a small list where a cowboy or a down-home hottie make an appearance. Leave your favorites in the comments 🙂
This New Adult novel by Abbi Glines features two down-home hotties: Sawyer and Beau Vincent. Sawyer’s the good one and Beau is the bad boy. They’re both swoony but I think we all know who the favorite is: the bad boy. Sorry Sawyer.
Okay. So, Jamie Fraser isn’t a cowboy but he is from 1743 Scotland, so I feel like it counts. Outlander is a sweeping, romantic, historical tale and I loved it. It’s one of my all time favorites. It was just picked up for a Starz TV adaptation which will debut later this year. Read it before you watch it.
I can remember crying over three books: The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Opportunist, and this one: Chasing Nikki. Chase Walker is a good ol’ boy and a football player who lives on a farm with his Mother and Grandparents. If you read Chasing Nikki, grab a box of tissues….you’re going to need them.
Pick up Chasing Nikki for Kindle
Colters’ Woman by Maya Banks is the beginning of the Colter’s series of books. It features three hot hot hot brothers who fall in love with the same woman. The Colters’ live up on a mountain, in the middle of nowhere, in a log cabin. They also work well with their…ahem, hands.
Colters’ Lady is the sequel to Colters’ Woman by Maya Banks. It tells the story of Lilly and the Colters’ brothers (from the first book) sons, as they find their perfect woman and seek to make her their own. Again, it’s a polyamory love story but Maya Banks does it the right way.
In Honor is a bittersweet read about Honor’s quest to ‘honor’ her brothers’ last wishes. To fulfill his last request she has to drive across country and Rusty, her brother’s best friend, tags along. Rusty reminds me of Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights and that’s why In Honor is on the list. It’s a sweet, romantic read about young love, grief, and loss.
Broken by Kelly Elliott features a hot, romantic, and sensitive cowboy living in Texas. After Whitley flees her abusive boyfriend she meets Layton Morris and has to make a decision to trust him or…not. Gary Taylor is on the cover of this book and I could so easily picture him as Layton.
Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee made our 2013 Best Of list. Cole Pritchett is more down-home bad boy than cowboy but man, does it work 😉 This New Adult romance is a steamy read that we’re sure you’ll enjoy
